Ben Ma captures the moment of Coming Out with a clear resin sculpture.

For Coming Out (Clear), Ben imagined a spirited being shedding her past self, pushing through boundaries and becoming anew. First conceptualized as a sketch on the first day of 2025. The ephemeral character has both of her arms up, wide open in full optimism, joyfully celebrating the infinity of opportunities that the future beholds.

During 5 months of development, Ben carved out his own unique path to produce this first edition Coming Out completely in his studio in Los Angeles, USA. The character's new-found clarity is achieved with Clear Resin 3D Printing, powered by an advanced SLA Printer from Formlabs (MIT), and through sanding, polishing & clear coating by the hands of the artist. The edition is accompanied with a custom made clear acrylic box, serving as a vessel for the sculpture during transit and upon arrival to its collector.
